My Bio
As you can see, I am a poet but the crazy thing is I have all these crazy ideas and I spend quite a lot of time trying to figure out if they are worth it so that's one good thing to know about me.

I'm 17, love writing, love music, love learning about new things, love learning and questioning the need for social norms, understanding The Major Religions of the world, coming up with crazy ideas, love reading a good book(assuming I can finish one), and enjoying any good benevolence that I have within me. :)

I am a passionate music lover, as most of everyone else upon this establishment. The one music that I mostly associate with is Heavy Metal because of its freedom and assurance through my rough days. Now just because I love Heavy Metal doesn't mean that I do not have a great respect for other music. I was taught to explore different things and topics and that has developed for a great love for Underground Hip Hop because I feel that same creative credence Heavy Metal offers.

I have been idealistic since a very young age; even making my own stories when I started taking baths but I fully didn't start writing until I was 14 years old when, one day, after I read Robert Frost's "Stopping by the woods on a Snowy Evening" in my desolate prison cell of a Seventh Grade Language classroom, I was so moved by the imagery of the words that I decided 'If this guy could do it, I could do it.' So in my next hour, which was Intensive Math while my Math teacher was talking about polynomials, I remembered about what I said in my LA class. All I had on my desk was a piece of paper and a yellow pencil, five minutes later, I had my first actual poem. :D

Since those days of writing free-verse poems, I have progressed as a writer and I am not afraid to be experimental with my poetry; let's just say if I am not, it will affect me in many ways. I'm diagnosed with Bi-Polar II Disorder and I use writing as a main outlet to take my issues and turn it into a form of creative freedom. If I don't have that aspect of freedom, truth be told I can't even look at myself in the mirror without a frown. I admit that I hold onto the past for many different reasons but I like to use the things I lost in my past to my advantage so I can become a better writer and a better person in the future.

So yeah, I'm an Idealist, I like to get lost in my thoughts, I am emotional and I can be lazy on being organized but hey who isn't? I may not be be perfect but I prefer to be imperfect, I may have issues but I'd rather lose my mind before I can find it, I may be a bright and intelligent person but I know my journey is just beginning and I am willing to conquer that.

And as it says on the Shields Family Motto: Vincit qui patitur, which is Latin for:

"He conquers who endures."

So two months of school have passed by like dust on a fan and The Year of Endurance is going rather well actually. So far, I have not noticed anything majorly negative about my demeanor. I am waking up with a smile almost every morning, exercising as soon as I am out of bed. I am reading a lot more and I am also finding myself more in touch with my maturity as well as my intelligence as well as having my priorities in shape and having my crap together at the moment. I am going to class more motivated and I am enjoying my teachers more than when I did Freshman year; I guess you could say they give more of a breath of  air than before. On th

So i'm reading this book. A book for me. Not yours, it's mine. ;p And I intend to use it to my advantage. It's called "How to Win Friends & Influence People." No, this isn't for my plan to take over the world(Not without a free cup of coffee for every American) #3 But anyway, I'm reading this book. So I can be better at talking to people and being more social and friendly with people. And in it, I found something mind blowing. Something that knocked the white right out of me. It says in this book that Abraham Lincoln was challenged to a duel by a politician named James Shields, a proud and sensitive man who literally went horseback t

I cannot believe I am saying this but it is certainly glad to be back in Lake "Hell"well High. Today, I experienced High School in a more adult manner and not like a little kid stepping off the big swing after he got a boo-boo; no, I entered with my priorities straight for once and I intend on keeping things that way. It certainly feels different. Like a part of you just grew out of something and you find who you are and that you know what to be with your life. Let's just say, I have a new attitude towards that. Sophomore Year is going to be The Year of Endurance because success cannot be achieved without hard work and the endurance to acc
